Mattress in Bangalore

Karnataka Interiors & Exteriors – We are the Leading manufacturer and supplier of branded mattress in Bangalore

There are many different types of cot mattress available. You can choose between foam mattresses, spring interior, natural fibre mattresses, special anti-allergy mattresses, or a combination of any of the above. You may be concerned to know which is the best and safest mattress to use for your baby. In fact, The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths states that it doesn't matter what kind of mattress you use, as long as it's firm not soft, doesn't sag at all or show any signs of wear and tear. Unless you know the history of a second-hand mattress, buy a new one.

Foam mattresses
Foam mattresses are generally the cheapest mattresses available. They often have a PVC cover, which is easy to keep clean. Choose a mattress which is at least 8-10 cms thick, to help support your baby while she sleeps. Some foam mattresses have ventilation holes but these aren't necessary, according to the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths.

Spring interior mattresses
These mattresses are made of coiled springs covered with a layer of foam and soft cotton fabric. One side of the mattress is usually covered in cotton fabric and the other is covered in wipe-clean plastic.
Parents' tip: If you're concerned that your baby is getting overheated when sleeping on the plastic side of your mattress, use it cotton side upwards, but vacuum it regularly to keep dust mites at bay.

Natural fibre mattresses
The interior of a natural fibre mattress is usually coconut fibre coated in latex, which is waterproof. The covers are soft cotton.

Hypoallergenic mattresses
If allergies or asthma are a concern in your family, you might like to have a look at the latest mattresses. These come with a quilted top layer that can be easily detached from the body of a mattress, and machine-washed at 60 degrees C to kill dust mites that may cause allergies.
